What have you learnt from being around women during pregnancy and birth?

Being around pregnant women is awe inspiring so special so sacred.. to watch, listen and even to smell them. They are so ripe. It is a bountiful sacred time.. it really saddens me that we as a society place little reverance on this time. I love seeeing pregnant ladies with really tight clothes...you go girl..

I guess I have learnt to watch. to be with .. to watch the light on their skin, the way they walk, the way the hold themselves. It is the same with labouring women too.. to watch ..I have been with so many labouring women in hospital where everyone watches the goddammed machines., ugh. to follow my instincts to be silent and ecouraging, being there for them.. to trust.
